The technical architecture for WPS and the other modules has been
conceived to make implementation possible in companies of any size.
The entire NegoRed solution is based on Microsoft’s Distributed Network
Architecture (DNA), thus inter-application interfaces are based on
Distributed Component technology (COM+), Microsoft Message Queue and XML.
NegoRed has been developed using XML-based transactions, although it has
the capability to transmit, receive and interpret ANSI EDI and UN/EDIFACT
messages. This makes NegoRed multi-platform and provides client access
through Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer or even other applications,
such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
In cases where direct data entry is not required, such as information
originated in an ERP system, application-specific connectors will be
developed if not already available. These solution add-ons will
facilitate inter-application data exchange, transport and validation.
NegoRed has developed add-ons Interfaces for SAP, ORACLE PL/SQL
Applications, AS/400 DB2-RPG and other data sources and/or aplications.
Add-ons for other ERP solutions will be developed as part of NegoRed’s
R&D initiatives.
NegoRed’s Solution is using XML document specifications similar to
BIZTALK specifications, thus facilitating integration faster and
seamlessly.
Transaction security is handled through the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
framework, digital signatures, Windows 2000 and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
These enable secure Internet transactions through encrypted channels for
maximum security. In addition to these, NegoRed has incorporated
optional Virtual Private Network (VPN) security capabilities into the
solution. Application security is handled through firewalls and
monitoring applications, thus enhancing Windows 2000 platform built-in
security. In addition, periodic security audits, conducted by outsourced
“tiger teams” are scheduled to ensure sound protection of systems and
customers data.
